Ignacy Paderewski Polish School offers students an education on three different levels:
* PRESCHOOL – children between the ages of three and six partake in music
and art, along with different types of educational activities and games.
They develop skills which would help them to learn how to read and
to write in Polish. Our preschool students learn Polish songs, short
poems, traditions and are encouraged to speak Polish.

* 8 YEAR GRAMMAR SCHOOL – activities revolve around teaching reading,
writing and speaking in Polish. Students learn about Polish traditions,
music and culture. History is taught in grades 5-8, and geography in
grades 6-8.

* 3-YEAR HIGH SCHOOL – students are introduced to history of Polish literature from
its beginning to present. The teaching also includes major historical
and cultural events along with practical activities to strengthen their
fluency and knowledge of the language, skills which are required by
American colleges in order to grant credits. The students in their last
year take written and oral exam that tests the knowledge of both the
language and history of Poland and Polish literature. This exam called
MATURA serves as celebration and the very special event ending
years of studies in Polish School.

To go along with that, the students also have opportunities to:
- attend religious classes which prepare them for their First Communion and
Confirmation that take place at St. Hyacinth Basilica in Chicago

- participate in a variety of contests organized by our School, other Polish
schools, as well as organizations and institutions in the metropolitan Chicago area

- expand their knowledge of Poland and POLONIA - Americans of Polish decent through organized trips to museums, concerts, movie premieres,
theater performances, along with visits of Polish veterans and Polish community leaders

- exercise practical applications with Polish culture and traditions through
visits from Santa Claus, a traditional Christmas Eve supper in the classrooms,
JASELKA – Christmas performance by the students, painting Easter eggs,
visiting cemeteries and partaking in Polish Constitution Day Parade
